Honor Code and Academic Integrity Policy

This Honor Code sets out the standards of honesty and integrity expected of every Resurgir Academy learner. It forms part of, and should be read together with, the Resurgir Academy Terms of Use.

1. OUR COMMITMENT TO INTEGRITY

Resurgir Academy certificates are only meaningful if they honestly reflect a learner's own work and understanding. This Honor Code exists to protect that value for every learner.

2. EXPECTED CONDUCT

As a Resurgir Academy learner, you agree to:

complete assessments and assignments honestly and independently, except where collaboration is expressly permitted;

properly acknowledge sources and ideas that are not your own;

represent your course progress and completion accurately;

refrain from sharing restricted assessment content with others;

comply with any additional integrity rules stated for a specific course.

3. PROHIBITED CONDUCT

The following constitute academic misconduct under this Honor Code:

plagiarism, including submitting another person's work as your own;

impersonating another learner, or allowing someone to complete an assessment on your behalf;

purchasing, exchanging, or otherwise obtaining assessment answers or completed work from a third party;

sharing restricted assessment content or answers with other learners;

falsely representing course completion or results;

manipulating or tampering with assessment scores or systems;

using unauthorised materials, tools, or assistance where independent work is required;

submitting AI-generated work as your own where a course prohibits it;

falsifying supporting documents or evidence;

attempting to circumvent assessment or proctoring controls;

any other conduct intended to gain an unfair advantage.

4. USE OF AI TOOLS

Where a course permits the use of AI tools, they must be used transparently and in accordance with that course's stated rules. Where a course requires original independent work, submitting AI-generated material as your own may constitute a violation of this Honor Code.

5. INVESTIGATION

Where we have reasonable grounds to suspect a violation of this Honor Code, we may investigate, which may include reviewing submissions, account activity, and assessment records, and contacting the learner concerned for an explanation.

We will notify the learner of the concern raised and give them a reasonable opportunity to respond before a final decision is made, except where doing so would compromise an investigation or is not reasonably practicable.

6. CONSEQUENCES

Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, consequences may include:

a formal warning;

cancellation of the relevant assessment or assignment;

removal of submitted work;

loss of marks or credit;

withholding of a certificate;

revocation of an already-issued certificate;

suspension of account access;

termination of the account;

other action reasonably necessary to protect academic integrity.

Refunds may not be available where termination results from a violation of this Honor Code, subject to applicable law.

7. APPEALS

A learner who disagrees with a decision made under this Honor Code may appeal in writing to Inquiries@resurgirconsulting.com within 14 calendar days of being notified of the decision, setting out the grounds for the appeal.

We will review appeals in good faith and respond within 15 Business Days of receipt.
